Director of Edenkind, Rev. Shelley Griffiths (Note I), also known as Pastor Shells, highlights that bufotenin—found in the urine of autistic individuals, as well as in frog or toad skins, mushrooms, and certain herbs—may induce a sense of oneness with God. Below is her speech on this topic:-
Hello, everybody. This is a little piece of information that I’d like to share about a compound called bufotenin. It’s actually a hallucinogenic serotonin analog found in frog or toad skins, mushrooms, higher plants, and certain mammals. Especially, and this is the key thing, it is found in the brains, plasma, and urine of people with ASD and schizophrenics (Note II). Now, ASD stands for autistic spectrum disorder. I take umbrage with the word disorder because I don’t believe it is a disorder.
But anyway, let me tell you a little bit more about bufotenin before I go on about that. If you smoke bufotenine, or bufo as I think some people call it, the effects are immediate and intense, a feeling of oceanic boundlessness, of oneness with the universe, a high level of ego disillusion, a fusion with God, a visceral connection with the divine source of life, and a connection with all beings (Note III).
Now folks, this is in my urine (Note IV)… So this feels like a progressive way of using urine to have a connection with God, much better than spreading it all over dead animal skins, don’t you agree? [As Pastor Shells (2024) argues that carnism will block people from the Holy Spirit, it can safely be assumed that the kind of autistic urine that can induce a connection with God got to be vegan.]

Editor’s Notes
I. Pastor Shells is the Founder of the charity Edenkind. She is an Edenist minister, social critic, and theorist. Additionally, she works as a life coach, artist, and writer. She is also a veganic farmer, a pioneer, an advocate for neurodiversity, and an Eco-property developer.
II. A 2010 study utilized a mass spectrometry approach to detect levels of bufotenin in the urine of individuals with severe autism spectrum disorder (ASD), schizophrenia, and asymptomatic subjects. Their results indicate significantly higher levels of bufotenin in the urine of the ASD and schizophrenic groups when compared to asymptomatic individuals.
